Overview
TechDori is an SK Factory product that helps people review technology deals. This policy explains what information TechDori processes, why it is used, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.
Information we process
Account and Google sign-in information
When you use email or Google sign-in, Supabase Auth processes your account identifier, email address, authentication-provider information, and session data. If you use Google OAuth, TechDori requests only basic identity information made available through the openid, email, and profile scopes, which may include your Google account name, email address, profile image, and provider user identifier.
TechDori does not receive or store your Google password.
Profile and personalization information
If personalization storage is active, TechDori may store:
- Display name and preferred language.
- Preferred deal categories and merchants.
- Favorite deal identifiers.
- Recently viewed deal identifiers, first and most recent view times, and a view count.
- Hidden deal identifiers.
- Minimal Deal interaction signals used for recommendations, including favorite, recent-view, hidden, and affiliate-click intent.
This information is associated with your authenticated account and protected by owner-scoped access controls.
TechDori's private affiliate-click intent signal contains only your account identifier, the Deal identifier, timestamps, and a bounded click count. It does not copy the destination URL, referrer, user agent, IP address, cookie identifier, fingerprint, or OAuth-provider metadata into your personalization history.
Affiliate click information
When you select an affiliate destination, TechDori may record the event timestamp, deal identifier, merchant name, destination URL, source page, referrer when available, and user agent when available. TechDori does not intentionally store IP addresses, advertising-cookie identifiers, or browser fingerprints in the affiliate click record.
Information you provide to support
If you contact support, TechDori processes the email address, message, and any information you choose to provide. Do not send passwords, authentication links, payment information, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
How information is used
TechDori uses information to:
- Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
- Provide profiles, favorites, recent views, language settings, and preferences.
- Exclude hidden Deals and deterministically rank Deals using your explicit preferences, saved Deals, recent views, and affiliate-click intent.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
- Measure aggregate affiliate engagement and support business decisions.
- Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
- Meet legal obligations and prevent misuse.
TechDori does not use Google user data for targeted advertising and does not sell Google user data.
Google OAuth and Google API Services disclosures
Google OAuth is used only to let you sign in and establish your TechDori account. TechDori's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where they apply.
TechDori limits Google data use to providing and securing the user-facing authentication and account features you request. Google user data is not transferred to advertising platforms or data brokers. Service providers may process it only as needed to operate TechDori under appropriate contractual and security controls, or when disclosure is required by law.
You can disconnect TechDori from your Google Account through Google Account connections. Disconnecting Google does not by itself delete your TechDori account; follow the account deletion instructions as well.
Cookies and similar storage
TechDori uses essential cookies or equivalent browser storage for Supabase authentication sessions and a language-preference cookie used by localized routing. These are required for sign-in, security, and remembering your selected language.
TechDori does not currently use advertising cookies or cookie-based cross-site tracking. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before the new use begins.
Sharing and service providers
TechDori uses service providers to operate the application, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for application hosting, Google for optional OAuth, and an approved email provider when production Magic Link delivery is enabled. Affiliate destinations receive information according to their own policies when you leave TechDori.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Data retention
- Account profile, preferences, favorites, and recent-view records are retained while the account is active and until deletion is completed, unless a longer period is legally required.
- Hidden Deals and private recommendation interaction signals are retained while the account is active and are designed to be deleted with the account.
- When affiliate analytics storage is active, raw referrer and user-agent values are subject to a 30-day removal policy. Aggregate-safe click records may be retained longer for reporting, fraud prevention, financial records, and legal obligations.
- Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain an audit trail, or meet legal obligations.
- Authentication, security, hosting, and delivery logs may be retained for limited periods determined by the relevant service provider and operational need.
- Backups may retain deleted information for a limited recovery period before scheduled overwrite.
TechDori does not claim that a proposed retention job or database migration is active until it has been reviewed and enabled in production.
Security
TechDori applies access controls, server-side validation, secure authentication boundaries, and data-minimization practices. No service can guarantee absolute security. Contact support promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
Your choices
You may update available profile preferences, sign out, disconnect Google access, or request account deletion. See Account Deletion for the required steps. You may also contact TechDori Support with a privacy question.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information. TechDori may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
TechDori is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly seek to collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support.
Policy changes
Material updates will be reflected by a new document version and Last Updated date. Continued use after an effective update means the revised policy applies to subsequent use, subject to applicable law.
